AN ACT ALLOWING ESSENTIAL PUBLIC EMPLOYEES TO COLLECT
UNEMPLOYMENT DURING THE DURATION OF A GOVERNMENT
SHUTDOWN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to allow essential public 1
employees who are working without pay during the duration of a 2
government shutdown to collect unemployment benefits. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To allow essential public employees to collect unemployment during
the duration of a government shutdown.
