AN ACT CONCERNING THE COMPLETION OF LOCAL
TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner 1
of Transportation to develop an expedited grant and approval process 2
for state grants-in-aid for transportation-related development projects, 3
including projects funded through the local transportation capital 4
program and transit-oriented development projects, and to utilize 5
letters of delegation to empower metropolitan planning organizations 6
to assume responsibility for the execution of projects below a certain 7
amount to be determined by the commissioner. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To expedite the completion of local transportation projects.
