AN ACT REQUIRING THE COMMISSIONER OF ENERGY AND
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION TO SET A GOAL TO PROCURE AT
LEAST TWO THOUSAND MEGAWATTS OF ELECTRICITY DERIVED
FROM WIND POWER GENERATED OFFSHORE OF THE STATE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner 1
of Energy and Environmental Protection to set a goal to procure at 2
least two thousand megawatts of electricity derived from wind power 3
generated offshore of the state on or before January 1, 2023. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To set a goal to procure at least two thousand megawatts of electricity
derived from offshore wind power.
