1919 AN ACT CONCERNING ELECTORAL PRIVILEGES OF CERTAIN
2020 INCARCERATED INDIVIDUALS AND PAROLEES.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to (1) (A) permit each 1
2525 elector who has been convicted of a certain classification of felony and 2
2626 committed to confinement in a correctional institution or facility or a 3
2727 community residence to retain his or her electoral privileges, and (B) 4
2828 restore electoral privileges to each individual presently so confined as 5
2929 a result of any such conviction, and (2) restore the electoral privileges 6
3030 of each convicted felon who has been released from such confinement 7
3131 but who may not have been discharged from parole. 8
3232 Statement of Purpose:
3333 To provide for restoration of electoral privileges to individuals
3434 incarcerated as a result of felonies of certain classifications and
3535 retention of such privileges by individuals who may be so incarcerated
3636 in the future, as well as to restore the electoral privileges of convicted
3737 felons who are on parole.
