AN ACT REQUIRING CERTAIN ABLE -BODIED MEDICAID
RECIPIENTS TO WORK OR VOLUNTEER THEIR SERVICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Social Services to submit a waiver request under 2
Section 1115 of the Social Security Act to require able-bodied Medicaid 3
recipients without dependents to work or volunteer in order to receive 4
benefits. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To foster employment and voluntarism among certain eligible
Medicaid recipients.
