9	14		AN ACT CONCERNING A COLLABORATIVE RELATI ONSHIP
10	15		BETWEEN PHYSICIAN AS SISTANTS AND PHYSICIANS.
11	16		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
12	17		Assembly convened:

14		-	Section 1. Subdivision (5) of section 20-12a of the general statutes is
15		-	repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July
16		-	1, 2019):
17		-	(5) "Physician assistant" means an individual who: (A) Functions in
18		-	a [dependent] collaborative relationship with a physician licensed
19		-	pursuant to this chapter; and (B) is licensed pursuant to section 20-12b
20		-	to provide patient services under the supervision, control,
21		-	responsibility and direction of said physician.
