AN ACT CONCERNING RESPONSE TO REQUESTS FOR
ASSISTANCE DURING AND AFTER STORMS AND OTHER NATURAL
DISASTERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1
Emergency Services and Public Protection to (1) respond to requests 2
for assistance during and after storms and other natural disasters in a 3
timely manner, (2) identify the criteria the department uses to 4
prioritize responses to requests for assistance, and (3) identify goals for 5
the department's response time for assistance requests. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To require the Department of Emergency Services and Public
Protection to (1) respond to requests for assistance during and after
storms and other natural disasters in a timely manner, (2) identify
criteria for prioritizing responses to requests for assistance, and (3)
identify goals for response times.
