AN ACT CONCERNING PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION PASSES FOR
STUDENTS IN ADULT EDUCATION PROGRAMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 242 of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Transportation to issue any adult who is enrolled in 2
an adult education program a monthly pass permitting use of public 3
transportation services for free or at a reduced rate. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To incentivize students enrolled in adult education programs to
continue to attend such programs by providing them with free or
reduced-fare access to public transportation.
