AN ACT CONCERNING THE TRANSFER AND RENOVATION OF THE
XL CENTER.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to (1) eliminate and prohibit 1
the use of any state funds for the XL Center, and (2) require that the XL 2
Center be conveyed, for the administrative costs of such conveyance 3
and contingent upon the renovation of the property, to the first person 4
or entity that agrees to renovate the XL Center with private money and 5
demonstrates the resources and ability to do so. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent further state spending on a facility that could be renovated
privately and restored to the property tax base.
