AN ACT CONCERNING PROSECUTORIAL TRANSPARENCY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 886 of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
the Division of Criminal Justice report to the Criminal Justice 2
Commission and the Office of Policy and Management aggregate data 3
on prosecutorial work, including anonymized data about (1) 4
defendants' demographics, (2) charging, (3) pretrial detention, (4) bail, 5
(5) plea deals, (6) diversionary programs, and (7) sentencing. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To require greater prosecutorial transparency.
