1222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1323 Assembly convened:

15-Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) There is established a task force
16-to study how to increase employment opportunities for persons with
17-disabilities. The task force shall study and make recommendations
18-concerning matters including, but not limited to, (1) expanding
19-existing employment assistance programs for persons with disabilities,
20-and (2) establishing financial incentives for businesses to employ more
21-persons with disabilities.
22-(b) The task force shall consist of the following members:
23-(1) Two appointed by the speaker of the House of Representatives,
24-one of whom is an employed person with intellectual disabilities and
25-one of whom is an employed person with physical disabilities;
26-(2) Two appointed by the president pro tempore of the Senate, one
27-of whom is an employed person with intellectual disabilities and one
28-of whom is an employer of persons with disabilities;
29-(3) One appointed by the majority leader of the House of House Bill No. 7093

38-(7) The Commissioner of Developmental Services, or the
39-commissioner's designee;
40-(8) The Commissioner of Mental Health and Addiction Services, or
41-the commissioner's designee;
42-(9) The Labor Commissioner, or the commissioner's designee;
43-(10) The Commissioner of Revenue Services, or the commissioner's
44-designee;
45-(11) The Commissioner of Social Services, or the commissioner's
46-designee; and
47-(12) The Commissioner of Rehabilitation Services, or the
48-commissioner's designee.
49-(c) Any member of the task force appointed under subdivision (3),
50-(4), (5) or (6) of subsection (b) of this section may be a member of the
51-General Assembly.
52-(d) All appointments to the task force shall be made not later than
53-thirty days after the effective date of this section. Any vacancy shall be
54-filled by the appointing authority.
55-(e) The speaker of the House of Representatives and the president
56-pro tempore of the Senate shall select the chairpersons of the task force
57-from among the members of the task force. Such chairpersons shall House Bill No. 7093

64-General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the
65-Department of Developmental Services shall serve as administrative
66-staff of the task force.

68-report on its findings and recommendations to the joint standing
69-committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters
70-relating to finance, revenue and bonding, human services, labor and
71-public health, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the
72-general statutes. The task force shall terminate on the date that it
73-submits such report or February 1, 2020, whichever is later.
