14-AN ACT CONCERNING ST UDIES OF GAMING IN THIS STATE.
19+AN ACT CONCERNING ST UDIES OF THE EFFECT OF LEGALIZED
20+GAMBLING.
1521 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
1622 Assembly convened:

1824 Section 1. Section 12-564 of the general statutes is repealed and the 1
1925 following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective from passage): 2
2026 (a) The commissioner shall make an annual report in writing to the 3
2127 Governor as provided in section 4-60 and shall make such additional 4
2228 reports as the Governor may from time to time reasonably request. The 5
2329 annual report shall include a statement of the receipts and 6
2430 disbursements of the department, a statement of the costs of 7
25-administering the department, a summary of [its] the department's 8
26-activities, and any additional information and recommendations which 9
27-the commissioner may deem of value or which the Governor may 10
28-request. 11
29-(b) (1) The commissioner shall conduct studies concerning the effect 12
30-of legalized gambling on the citizens of this state. [including] The 13
31-studies shall include, but need not be limited to, [studies to determine] 14
32-examinations of the types of gambling activity engaged in by the 15
33-public, the potential impact of authorizing online gaming in the state, 16
34-the impact of the development of new gaming technologies and the 17
35-desirability of expanding, maintaining or reducing the amount of 18
