2020 AN ACT EXPANDING MEN TAL AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CA RE

2222 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2323 Assembly convened:

2525 Section 1. Section 17a-22o of the general statutes is repealed and the 1
2626 following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 2019): 2
2727 The Departments of Children and Families, Social Services and 3
2828 Mental Health and Addiction Services shall submit all proposals for 4
2929 initial rates, reductions to existing rates and changes in rate 5
3030 methodology within the Behavioral Health Partnership to the 6
3131 Behavioral Health Partnership Oversight Council for review. The 7
3232 departments shall (1) make every effort to incorporate 8
3333 recommendations of the council when setting rates, [For the fiscal year 9
3434 beginning July 1, 2014, the Behavioral Health Partnership Oversight 10
3535 Council, in consultation with the Departments of Children and 11
3636 Families, Social Services and Mental Health and Addiction Services 12
3737 shall identify a savings of one million dollars.] (2) ensure rates are 13
3838 equitable in different regions for the same services, and (3) seek to 14
