1919 AN ACT CONCERNING TH E DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL SERVICES'
2020 ENERGY ASSISTANCE PA YMENTS.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2424 Section 1. Subsection (e) of section 16a-41a of the general statutes is 1
2525 repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 2
2626 1, 2019): 3
2727 (e) Not later than November 1, 2018, the Commissioner of Social 4
2828 Services shall require each community action agency administering a 5
2929 fuel assistance program to make payment to a vendor of deliverable 6
3030 fuel not later than thirty days after the community action agency 7
3131 receives an authorized fuel slip or invoice for payment from the 8
3232 vendor. No such community action agency shall authorize a vendor of 9
3333 deliverable fuel to make a fuel delivery until funds for such delivery 10
3434 are transferred from the Department of Social Services to the 11
3535 community action agency and are available to pay the vendor for such 12

4848 To protect fuel vendors in the energy assistance program from delayed
4949 payments by requiring that the Department of Social Services release
5050 fuel assistance funds to community action agencies before such
