20	19		AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF EDUCATION MANDATE RE LIEF.
21	20		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
22	21		Assembly convened:

24	23		Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than January 1, 2020, the 1
25	24		Department of Education shall conduct a study of issues relating to 2
26	25		education mandates on local and regional boards of education. Such 3
27	26		study shall include, but need not be limited to, an analysis of mandates 4
28	27		imposed on local and regional boards of education and 5
29	28		recommendations on how to revise or repeal any such mandates. The 6
30	29		department shall submit such study and recommendations to the joint 7
31	30		standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of 8
32	31		matters relating to education, in accordance with the provisions of 9
33	32		section 11-4a of the general statutes. 10
