1919 AN ACT CONCERNING TH E USE OF MUNICIPAL GAIN TO SUPPORT
2020 REGIONALIZATION.
2121 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2222 Assembly convened:

2424 Section 1. Section 16-233 of the general statutes is repealed and the 1
2525 following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective October 1, 2019): 2
2626 Each town, city, borough, fire district or the Department of 3
2727 Transportation shall have the right to occupy and use for any purpose, 4
2828 including, but not limited to, efforts to consolidate administrative and 5
2929 business office functions and information technology associated with 6
3030 such functions with other towns, cities, boroughs or fire districts and 7
3131 other entities, without payment therefor, one gain upon each public 8
3232 utility pole or in each underground communications duct system 9
3333 installed by a public service company within the limits of any such 10
3434 town, city, borough or district. The location or relocation of any such 11
3535 gain shall be prescribed by the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority. 12
3636 Any such gain shall be reserved for use by the town, city, borough, fire 13
