22 | 21 | | Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General |

25 | 24 | | Section 1. (Effective from passage) There is established a working 1 |
---|
26 | 25 | | group to study the laws of criminal procedure of this state. Such study 2 |
---|
27 | 26 | | shall include, at a minimum, a review of title 54 of the general statutes 3 |
---|
28 | 27 | | for the purpose of recommending legislative changes. The working 4 |
---|
29 | 28 | | group shall consist of the following members who have expertise in 5 |
---|
30 | 29 | | laws of criminal procedure: (1) One appointed by the speaker of the 6 |
---|
31 | 30 | | House of Representatives; (2) one appointed by the president pro 7 |
---|
32 | 31 | | tempore of the Senate; (3) one appointed by the majority leader of the 8 |
---|
33 | 32 | | House of Representatives; (4) one appointed by the majority leader of 9 |
---|
34 | 33 | | the Senate; (5) one appointed by the minority leader of the House of 10 |
---|
35 | 34 | | Representatives; and (6) one appointed by the minority leader of the 11 |
---|
36 | 35 | | Senate. Not later than January 1, 2020, the working group shall submit 12 |

37 | 36 | | a report on its findings and recommendations to the joint standing 13 |
---|
38 | 37 | | committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 14 |

39 | 38 | | relating to the judiciary, in accordance with the provisions of section 15 |
