2019 AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF LAWS OF CRIMINAL
2120 PROCEDURE OF THIS ST ATE.
2221 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

2524 Section 1. (Effective from passage) There is established a working 1
2625 group to study the laws of criminal procedure of this state. Such study 2
2726 shall include, at a minimum, a review of title 54 of the general statutes 3
2827 for the purpose of recommending legislative changes. The working 4
2928 group shall consist of the following members who have expertise in 5
3029 laws of criminal procedure: (1) One appointed by the speaker of the 6
3130 House of Representatives; (2) one appointed by the president pro 7
3231 tempore of the Senate; (3) one appointed by the majority leader of the 8
3332 House of Representatives; (4) one appointed by the majority leader of 9
3433 the Senate; (5) one appointed by the minority leader of the House of 10
3534 Representatives; and (6) one appointed by the minority leader of the 11
3635 Senate. Not later than January 1, 2020, the working group shall submit 12
3736 a report on its findings and recommendations to the joint standing 13
3837 committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters 14
3938 relating to the judiciary, in accordance with the provisions of section 15
