21	20		AN ACT CONCERNING TH E CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF STATE
22	21		LAND IN THE CITY OF WATERBURY.
23	22		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
24	23		Assembly convened:

26	25		Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Notwithstanding any provision 1
27	26		of the general statutes, the Commissioner of Transportation shall 2
28	27		convey to the city of Waterbury a parcel of land located in the city of 3
29	28		Waterbury at a cost equal to the administrative costs of making such 4
30	29		conveyance. Said parcel of land has an area of approximately .11 acre 5
31	30		and is located at 140 Brookdale Lane in the city of Waterbury and is 6
32	31		identified as Lot 8 in Block 114 of city of Waterbury Tax Assessor's 7
33	32		Map 420. The conveyance shall be subject to the approval of the State 8
34	33		Properties Review Board. 9
35	34		(b) The city of Waterbury shall use said parcel of land for 10
36	35		community garden purposes, to be managed by a neighborhood 11
37	36		association. If the city of Waterbury: 12

45	43		(2) Does not retain ownership of all of said parcel; or 14
46	44		(3) Leases all or any portion of said parcel, 15
47	45		the parcel shall revert to the state of Connecticut. 16
48	46		(c) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of 17
49	47		the conveyance of said parcel of land not later than thirty days after it 18
50	48		receives a proposed agreement from the Department of 19
51	49		Transportation. The land shall remain under the care and control of 20
52	50		said department until a conveyance is made in accordance with the 21
53	51		provisions of this section. The State Treasurer shall execute and deliver 22
54	52		any deed or instrument necessary for a conveyance under this section, 23
55	53		which deed or instrument shall include provisions to carry out the 24
56	54		purposes of subsection (b) of this section. The Commissioner of 25
57	55		Transportation shall have the sole responsibility for all other incidents 26
58	56		of such conveyance. 27
