21	20		AN ACT CONCERNING TH E CONVEYANCE OF A PARCEL OF STATE
22	21		PROPERTY IN THE TOWN OF BEACON FALLS.
23	22		Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
24	23		Assembly convened:

26	25		Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) Notwithstanding any provision 1
27	26		of the general statutes, the Commissioner of Transportation shall 2
28	27		convey to the town of Beacon Falls a parcel of land located in the town 3
29	28		of Beacon Falls at no cost other than that associated with the survey to 4
30	29		be completed under this subsection. Said parcel of land has an area of 5
31	30		approximately 0.125 acre and is identified as a portion of the parcel of 6
32	31		land adjacent to the intersection of North Main Street and Church 7
33	32		Street. The Commissioner of Transportation shall identify said parcel 8
34	33		upon completion of a Class A-2 horizontal survey completed and paid 9
35	34		for by the town of Beacon Falls. The conveyance shall be subject to the 10
36	35		approval of the State Properties Review Board. 11
37	36		(b) The town of Beacon Falls shall use said parcel of land for the 12
38	37		purpose of relocating the historic Rimmon Schoolhouse. If the town of 13

46	44		(1) Does not use said parcel for said purpose; 15
47	45		(2) Does not retain ownership of all of said parcel; or 16
48	46		(3) Leases all or any portion of said parcel, 17
49	47		the parcel shall revert to the state of Connecticut. 18
50	48		(c) The State Properties Review Board shall complete its review of 19
51	49		the conveyance of said parcel of land not later than thirty days after it 20
52	50		receives a proposed agreement from the Department of 21
53	51		Transportation. The land shall remain under the care and control of 22
54	52		said department until a conveyance is made in accordance with the 23
55	53		provisions of this section. The State Treasurer shall execute and deliver 24
56	54		any deed or instrument necessary for a conveyance under this section, 25
57	55		which deed or instrument shall include provisions to carry out the 26
58	56		purposes of subsection (b) of this section. The Commissioner of 27
59	57		Transportation shall have the sole responsibility for all other incidents 28
60	58		of such conveyance. 29
