RESOLUTION AMENDING THE JOINT RULES TO PROHIBIT CERTAIN
LOBBYING IN THE HOUSE AND SENATE CHAMBERS.
Resolved by this Assembly:
That the joint rules be amended to prohibit legislative liaisons 1
employed by an executive branch agency or a legislative commission 2
from the floor of (1) the House on a day when the House is in session, 3
or (2) the Senate on a day when the Senate is in session, except for a 4
public hearing on the floor of the House or Senate or a liaison invited 5
to the floor of the House or Senate for purposes of a ceremony or 6
recognition. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To limit the lobbying activities of state agency legislative liaisons.
