RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO THE STATE
CONSTITUTION TO PERMIT THE RECALL OF ELECTED OFFICIALS.
Resolved by this Assembly:
That article eleventh of the Constitution of the state be amended to 1
allow an elected official to be recalled from office prior to the 2
completion of his or her term on the signed petition of a number of 3
electors equal to at least twenty-five per cent of the number of votes 4
cast for the office of governor at the most recent election for such 5
office. 6
Statement of Purpose:
To allow electors to petition for the recall of an elected official.
