RESOLUTION PROPOSING A STATE CONSTITUTIONAL
AMENDMENT TO ESTABLISH AN INDEPENDENT NONPARTISAN
COMMISSION FOR LEGISLATIVE REDISTRICTING.
Resolved by this Assembly:
That article twenty-sixth of the amendments to the Constitution of 1
the state, as amended by article thirtieth of said amendments, be 2
amended to establish a nonpartisan commission for reapportionment 3
of legislative districts independent of the General Assembly. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To establish an independent nonpartisan commission as the sole
authority on legislative redistricting.
