RESOLUTION PROPOSING AN AMENDMENT TO THE STATE 
CONSTITUTION TO PERMIT THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY ADDITIONAL 
TIME TO REVIEW AND CONSIDER CERTAIN JUDICIAL 
NOMINATIONS FROM THE GOVERNOR. 
Resolved by this Assembly: 
 
That article twenty-fifth of the amendments to the Constitution of 1 
the state be amended to provide that if the Governor has renominated 2 
a judge whose eight-year term is set to expire during the course of a 3 
regular session of the General Assembly, such eight-year term shall be 4 
extended for an additional period of time not to exceed thirty days to 5 
allow the General Assembly additional time to consider and review 6 
the nomination from the Governor. 7 
Statement of Purpose:   
To permit the General Assembly additional time to review and 
consider certain judicial nominations from the Governor.
