RESOLUTION PROPOSING A CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT
CONCERNING LEGISLATIVE PUBLIC HEARING PROCEDURES.
Resolved by this Assembly:
That article third of the Constitution of the state be amended to add 1
a provision limiting the testimony of legislators and representatives of 2
state agencies to the first hour of any legislative hearing and thereafter 3
only after all members of the public have been heard. 4
Statement of Purpose:
To limit legislators and state agency representatives to the first hour of
testimony of legislative public hearings in order to encourage public
participation.
