AN ACT CONCERNING HEALTH INSURANCE COVERAGE OF
ORALLY AND INTRAVENOUSLY ADMINISTERED PRESCRIPTION
DRUGS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require health 1
insurance policies that provide coverage for prescription drugs to 2
provide coverage for intravenously administered prescription drugs 3
on a basis that is no less favorable than the basis on which such 4
policies provide coverage for orally administered prescription drugs. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To require health insurance policies that provide coverage for
prescription drugs to provide coverage for intravenously administered
prescription drugs on a basis that is no less favorable than the basis on
which such policies provide coverage for orally administered
prescription drugs.
