| 23 | 23 | | Section 1. Subsection (b) of section 29-35 of the general statutes is 1 |

| 24 | 24 | | repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective 2 |

| 26 | 26 | | (b) The holder of a permit issued pursuant to section 29-28 shall 4 |

| 27 | 27 | | carry such permit upon one's person while carrying such pistol or 5 |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | revolver. Such holder shall present his or her permit upon the request 6 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | of a law enforcement officer [who has reasonable suspicion of a crime] 7 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | for purposes of verification of the validity of the permit or 8 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | identification of the holder, provided such holder is carrying a pistol or 9 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | revolver that is observed by such law enforcement officer. 10 |
