26 | 26 | That the general statutes be amended to require any third-party 1 | |
27 | 27 | nonprofit community access provider to, upon request from any town 2 | |
28 | 28 | within its service territory, provide written consent for the town to: 3 | |
29 | 29 | (1) Operate education and government public access channels in 4 | |
30 | 30 | that town; and 5 | |
31 | 31 | (2) Engage freely and directly with the community antenna 6 | |
32 | 32 | television company providing services in such town to use their 7 | |
33 | 33 | headend equipment for dissemination of town-specific community 8 | |
34 | 34 | access programming on such channels. 9 | |
