2121 AN ACT CONCERNING THIRD-PARTY NONPROFIT COMMUNITY
2222 ACCESS PROVIDERS AND MUNICIPAL PROGRAMMING.
2323 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2424 Assembly convened:

2626 That the general statutes be amended to require any third-party 1
2727 nonprofit community access provider to, upon request from any town 2
2828 within its service territory, provide written consent for the town to: 3
2929 (1) Operate education and government public access channels in 4
3030 that town; and 5
3131 (2) Engage freely and directly with the community antenna 6
3232 television company providing services in such town to use their 7
3333 headend equipment for dissemination of town-specific community 8
3434 access programming on such channels. 9
3535 Statement of Purpose:
3636 To require third-party nonprofit community access providers to
3737 provide written consent for towns to conduct certain activities
3838 regarding education and government public access and community
3939 access programming.
