AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF POLYFLUOROALKYL
SUBSTANCES IN FOOD PACKAGING AND FIREFIGHTER FOAM.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use of 1
polyfluoroalkyl substances in food packaging and firefighter foam. 2
Statement of Purpose:
To protect the health and safety of consumers and particularly children
and firefighters who are at greatest risk of adverse health impacts from
exposure to polyfluoroalkyl substances.
