AN ACT REDEFINING EXPLOITATION OF ELDERLY PERSONS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That section 17b-450 of the general statutes be amended to redefine 1 
"exploitation" as follows: "Refers to the act or process of taking 2 
advantage of an elderly person or such elderly person's representative 3 
by another person, caregiver or nursing home facility, whether for 4 
monetary, personal or other benefit, gain or profit." 5 
Statement of Purpose:   
To redefine the term exploitation for the purpose of protective services 
for the elderly.
