AN ACT PROHIBITING A BANK FROM CHARGING A FEE TO CASH A
CHECK PAYABLE AT SUCH BANK OR DRAWN ON AN ACCOUNT
HELD AT SUCH BANK.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 36a-317b of the general statutes be amended to prohibit 1
a bank from charging a fee to cash a check payable at such bank or 2
drawn on an account held at such bank. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit a bank from charging a fee to cash a check payable at such
bank or drawn on an account held at such bank.
