AN ACT REQUIRING BANKS TO NOTIFY CUSTOMERS BEFORE THE EXPIRATION OF AUTOMATIC PAYMENTS AND AFTER ACCOUNT OVERDRAFTS. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 36a of the general statutes be amended to require banks to 1 notify customers (1) before the bank's authorization to make automatic 2 payments or transfers from the customer's account expires, and (2) 3 immediately after the customer's account is overdrawn. 4 Statement of Purpose: To require banks to notify customers before automatic payments or transfers from the customer's account expire and immediately after the customer's account is overdrawn.
