AN ACT PHASING OUT THE SALE AND MANUFACTURE OF 
COSMETICS THAT USE ANIMAL TESTING IN THEIR DEVELOPMENT. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to phase out the sale and 1 
manufacture of cosmetics that utilize animal testing in any phase of 2 
their development. 3 
Statement of Purpose:   
To phase out the sale and manufacture of cosmetics that utilize animal 
testing in any phase of their development, as the state of California has 
recently done.
