AN ACT ESTABLISHING AN ELDER ABUSE REGISTRY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require the 1
Commissioner of Social Services, acting in consultation with the 2
Commissioner of Emergency Services and Public Protection, to 3
establish a registry of persons convicted of abuse, neglect or financial 4
exploitation of elderly persons. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To protect senior citizens from abuse, neglect and exploitation with a
public data base of persons convicted of crimes against elderly
persons.
