SEN. WITKOS, 8th Dist. AN ACT CONCERNING AGGREGATE AMOUNTS OF QUALIFYING CONTRIBUTIONS UNDER THE CITIZENS' ELECTION PROGRAM. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That chapter 157 of the general statutes be amended to provide that, 1 after a candidate committee has received the aggregate amount of 2 qualifying contributions necessary for eligibility to receive a grant 3 from the Citizens' Election Fund, any additional qualifying 4 contribution received by such committee shall be returned in full to the 5 contributor thereof. 6 Statement of Purpose: To require that qualifying contributions received in excess of the aggregate amount thereof necessary for a grant under the Citizens' Election Program be returned in full to the contributors of such excess qualifying contributions.
