AN ACT WAIVING PRIOR MEDICAID AUTHORIZATION
REQUIREMENTS FOR CERTAIN PHARMACOGENOMICS TESTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 17b of the general statutes be amended to require 1
Medicaid coverage for certain pharmacogenomics tests determined to 2
be medically necessary by a treating primary care physician. 3
Statement of Purpose:
To require Medicaid coverage without prior authorization for certain
pharmacogenomics tests determined medically necessary by a treating
primary care practitioner.
