AN ACT CONCERNING MEDICAID TREATMENT OF INACCESSIBLE
ASSETS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 17b-261a of the general statutes be amended to require 1
the Commissioner of Social Services to define as inaccessible for 2
Medicaid eligibility purposes those assets not actually available to a 3
Medicaid applicant for liquidation on the date the commissioner 4
determines Medicaid eligibility. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate inaccessible assets from Medicaid eligibility
determinations.
