| 25 | 25 | | Assembly convened: |

| 27 | 27 | | That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to provide that 1 |

| 28 | 28 | | each insurer, health care center, fraternal benefit society, hospital 2 |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | service corporation, medical service corporation or other entity 3 |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | delivering, issuing for delivery, renewing, amending or continuing a 4 |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | health insurance policy in this state shall (1) not provide any document 5 |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | to an insured or prospective insured unless such document is in plain 6 |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | language, (2) provide for transparency in the cost of covered health 7 |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | care services and the calculation of cost-sharing payments for such 8 |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | services, (3) not deliver, issue for delivery, renew, amend or continue 9 |
|---|
| 36 | 36 | | high deductible health plans in this state, and (4) not charge any 10 |

| 37 | 37 | | coinsurance to an insured in this state. 11 |
