AN ACT ELIMINATING CERTAIN MANDATORY MINIMUM
SENTENCES FOR FIREARMS -RELATED OFFENSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That section 29-37 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate 1
the mandatory minimum sentence for carrying a pistol or revolver 2
without a valid permit and that section 53a-212 of the general statutes 3
be amended to eliminate the mandatory minimum sentence fo r 4
stealing a firearm. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To eliminate the mandatory minimum sentences for certain firearms-
related offenses.
