AN ACT REQUIRING A STUDY OF THE FEASIBILITY OF INSTALLING AND USING RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES ON THE LAND ADJACENT TO INTERSTATE ROADWAYS IN THE STATE. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of 1 Transportation to conduct a study concerning the feasibility of 2 installing and using renewable energy sources, including wind and 3 solar, on the land adjacent to interstate roadways in the state, 4 including Interstate 84 and Interstate 95. Such study shall examine the 5 cost, effectiveness and feasibility of the installation of such renewable 6 energy sources. 7 Statement of Purpose: To study the feasibility of installing and using renewable energy sources on the land adjacent to interstate roadways in the state.
