AN ACT EXPANDING UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES TO INCLUDE 
SALE OF A CUSTOMER'S GPS LOCATION BY MOBILE PHONE 
PROVIDERS. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to make it an unfair or 1 
deceptive trade practice for a mobile phone provider or manufacturer 2 
of a satellite-based radionavigation or cellular-enabled device to 3 
convey, trade or sell a customer's physical location. 4 
Statement of Purpose:   
To protect the privacy of mobile telephone users.
