AN ACT REQUIRING PHARMACIES TO DISPENSE OPIOID
MEDICATION IN BLISTER PACKS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require pharmacies to 1
dispense only that opioid medication that is contained in blister packs. 2
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce health care costs and improve medication adherence by
mandating that pharmacies dispense only that opioid medication that
is contained in blister packs.
