AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TAX CREDIT FOR BUSINESSES THAT 
OFFER STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENT TO GRADUATES OF 
INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND PRIVATE 
OCCUPATIONAL SCHOOLS IN THE STATE. 
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General 
Assembly convened: 
 
That the general statutes be amended to establish a tax credit for 1 
businesses that provide student loan repayment assistance to 2 
employees who earned their bachelor's degree, associate degree or 3 
certificate from a public institution of higher education, independent 4 
nonprofit institution of higher education or private occupational 5 
school in the state. 6 
Statement of Purpose:   
To establish a tax credit for businesses that provide student loan 
repayment assistance to graduates of institutions of higher education 
and private occupational schools in the state.
