AN ACT CONCERNING REVISIONS TO THE EXCESS COST
THRESHOLD FOR SPECIAL EDUCATION FOR CERTAIN SCHOOL
DISTRICTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsection (b) of section 10-76g of the general statutes be 1
amended to revise the reimbursement threshold for special education 2
costs for school districts with a student population of fewer than three 3
thousand five hundred from four and one-half times the average per 4
pupil cost to three times the average per pupil cost and to provide for a 5
minimum reimbursement rate of seventy-eight per cent for such school 6
districts. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To aid small towns in the financing of special education services.
