AN ACT CONCERNING NONELDERLY RESIDENTS OF SENIOR
HOUSING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 8 of the general statutes be amended to adopt the 1
Massachusetts model of limiting the number of nonelderly, low-2
income persons who may reside in housing designated for senior 3
citizens to those with one or more physical or mental impairments 4
considered to be of long duration who are unable to find affordable, 5
habitable alternative housing in the private market with the necessary 6
design features to accommodate their impairments. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce the number of nonretirees that reside in senior housing.
