AN ACT ELIMINATING THE STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT FELONY OFFENSES AGAINST A MINOR AND REQUIRING PARENTS TO WATCH A SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION PROGRAM. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened: That title 54 of the general statutes be amended to eliminate the 1 statute of limitations in the case of a felony sexual assault with a minor 2 victim and that title 10 of the general statutes be amended to require 3 local and regional school districts to require parents or guardians to 4 watch a sexual assault prevention program, such as that developed by 5 the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and to require 6 a parent or guardian to sign off on such requirement as part of the 7 required distribution of school policies. 8 Statement of Purpose: To eliminate the statute of limitations in the case of a felony sexual assault with a minor victim and to require local and regional school districts to require parents or guardians to watch a sexual assault prevention program.
