25 | 24 | | Section 1. Subsection (b) of section 17b-106 of the general statutes is 1 |

26 | 25 | | repealed and the following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 2 |

28 | 27 | | (b) Effective July 1, [2011] 2019, the commissioner shall provide a 4 |

29 | 28 | | state supplement payment for recipients of Medicaid and the federal 5 |
---|
30 | 29 | | Supplemental Security Income Program who reside in long-term care 6 |

31 | 30 | | facilities sufficient to increase their personal needs allowance to [sixty] 7 |

32 | 31 | | seventy-two dollars per month. Such state supplement payment shall 8 |

33 | 32 | | be made to the long-term care facility to be deposited into the personal 9 |
---|
34 | 33 | | fund account of each such recipient. For the purposes of this 10 |
---|
35 | 34 | | subsection, "long-term care facility" means a licensed chronic and 11 |
---|
36 | 35 | | convalescent nursing home, a chronic disease hospital, a rest home 12 |
---|
37 | 36 | | with nursing supervision, an intermediate care facility for individuals 13 |
---|
46 | 44 | | following is substituted in lieu thereof (Effective July 1, 2019): 16 |
