1818 AN ACT CONCERNING THE PROVISION OF SERVICES TO
1919 CHILDREN BY OCCUPATIONAL THERAPISTS.
2020 Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
2121 Assembly convened:

2323 That the general statutes be amended to (1) require the Department 1
2424 of Children and Families to utilize Ages and Stages assessment tools 2
2525 rather than birth-to-three evaluations in screening children thirty-six 3
2626 months of age and younger who have been substantiated as victims of 4
2727 abuse or neglect or who are being served through the department's 5
2828 family assessment response program, (2) compensate schools and 6
2929 occupational therapists providing services as part of the birth-to-three 7
3030 program at the rate of the independent group fee schedule, (3) require 8
3131 providers to conduct quarterly audits by submitting documentation to 9
3232 the state verifying that clients appeared for treatment and any billing 10
3333 associated with such treatment, (4) provide annual training to 11
3434 providers concerning any new billing requirements, and (5) allow 12
3535 occupational therapists working on a fee schedule to be an 13
3636 independent group for Husky and to bill for self-care management or 14
