23 | 23 | That the general statutes be amended to (1) require the Department 1 | |
24 | 24 | of Children and Families to utilize Ages and Stages assessment tools 2 | |
25 | 25 | rather than birth-to-three evaluations in screening children thirty-six 3 | |
26 | 26 | months of age and younger who have been substantiated as victims of 4 | |
27 | 27 | abuse or neglect or who are being served through the department's 5 | |
28 | 28 | family assessment response program, (2) compensate schools and 6 | |
29 | 29 | occupational therapists providing services as part of the birth-to-three 7 | |
30 | 30 | program at the rate of the independent group fee schedule, (3) require 8 | |
31 | 31 | providers to conduct quarterly audits by submitting documentation to 9 | |
32 | 32 | the state verifying that clients appeared for treatment and any billing 10 | |
33 | 33 | associated with such treatment, (4) provide annual training to 11 | |
34 | 34 | providers concerning any new billing requirements, and (5) allow 12 | |
35 | 35 | occupational therapists working on a fee schedule to be an 13 | |
36 | 36 | independent group for Husky and to bill for self-care management or 14 | |
