AN ACT PRIORITIZING RESOLUTION OF CUSTODY AND VISITATION
ISSUES IN AN ACTION FOR DISSOLUTION OF A MARRIAGE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That chapter 815j of the general statutes be amended to require that 1
in any action for a dissolution of a marriage that includes issues 2
surrounding the care and custody of one or more minor children, the 3
court shall prioritize resolving such issues prior to addressing any 4
other unresolved issues presented by the parties to the action. 5
Statement of Purpose:
To prioritize resolution of custody and visitation issues in an action for
a dissolution of a marriage.
