AN ACT CONCERNING THE TIMING OF PAYMENTS FOR SPECIAL
EDUCATION COSTS REIMBURSEMENT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That subsection (a) of section 10-76g of the general statutes be 1
amended to change the dates upon which the state makes payments to 2
local and regional boards of education for the cost of providing special 3
education to coincide with the period after an enrollment deadline but 4
before the first day of the school year, and to allow municipalities to 5
update the estimated number of special education students for the 6
school year. 7
Statement of Purpose:
To aid school districts in their request for and estimation of
reimbursement for special education costs.
