AN ACT CONCERNING REPORTING OF ELECTION RESULTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General
Assembly convened:
That title 9 of the general statutes be amended to provide that, after 1
the polls have closed and the moderator causes the vote totals for all 2
candidates and questions to be produced by the voting tabulator, such 3
moderator shall (1) cause to be produced another tabulator tape or 4
create a photocopy of, scan into a digital format or take a digital 5
photograph of such original tabulator tape, and (2) submit any such 6
tape, photocopy, scan or photograph to the Secretary of the State with 7
the moderator's return. 8
Statement of Purpose:
To supplement the submission of the moderator's return to the
Secretary of the State after an election with a tabulator tape or a digital
image thereof.
